Bacholar of Commerce (B.Com (Computer) & B.Com (Plain))
A Bachelor of Commerce (abbreviated BCom, B. Com., B. Commerce, or B. Com. is an undergraduate degree in commerce and related subjects.
The Bachelor of Commerce degree is designed to provide the student with a wide range of managerial skills while at the same time building competence in a particular area of business studies; see below. Most universities therefore plan the degree such that additional to their major, students are exposed to general business principles, taking courses in accounting/finance, human resources, statistics, marketing, economics, and information systems. For a comparison with other degrees in business and management, see further under Business education.
Our Commerce program aims to prepare our students for choosing Chartered Accountancy as a career. Two years of class room learning and one year of rigorous training in accounting & finance builds a strong foundation of our B.Com (Hons) students towards a career in Chartered Accountancy. The program is designed and guided by competent CA professionals to groom our students in order to fill the supply demand gap in the field of commerce and accounting.
